Restaurant: As you walk through the door you are greeted with a warm smile and whisked away into this chic upscale and aesthetically beautiful restaurant. Instead of the server asking you what kind of water you want they automatically offer you complimentary bottled water and bring you you a mound of feta cheese with your bread. The music is pleasant but not overwhelming. When the first course came out I thought I was in heaven. The pork spring rolls were amazingly different with their two complimentary sauces. The presentation of the tuna tartar was like a work of art and refreshing with a wasabi crème fraise and a wakame salad. For the second course they offer you a complimentary soup or salad, try the Greek — it's delicious. For my main course I had to try the Kobe steak, it was well worth it. It tasted like it came out of a Japanese steak house. Unlike other steak houses it came with a choice of sides at no additional cost. For dessert I had to try the chocolate chocolate cake. It was decadent and sinfully good, with a layer of chocolate covered cake and a layer of cheesecake. They have a beautiful bar as well with a lively crowd of all ages. On the weekends, after 10:00, there is a deejay that plays popular music for all ages and the room off the side of the bar turns into a dance floor. - LI Bistro member
Restaurant:
This place has a gorgeous cigar lounge and a huge bar with a "beautiful
crowd" scene. Upstairs is gambler's paradise too - It's like being in
Chicago in the 20's. The place looks so good you might almost think it's
another steakhouse with a gimmick but it's not. This is the real deal.
I've been eating steak for the better part of 15 years and this place is
up there with anything else you can think of. It's an art deco
masterpiece of a building, the food is incredible and the staff knows
their stuff. I've been there a few times with friends and after dinner
we stay for a couple hours more at the bar and in the cigar lounge. This
is truly a night out to remember. I feel comfortable recommending the
most seasoned of steak lovers to Maxwell and Dunne's.

Restaurant:
I have been a patron of the Sonoma Grill for quite some time. The restaurant is very large with tall ceilings with an open floor plan which gives the place a nice comfortable feel. The bar area is quite nice and can become crowded on the weekends as they have $6 Martini's and half priced appetizers. There are tasteful, live music performances that include jazz and solo artists that aren't too loud and over bearing. Their food is always fresh and the bar makes great martini's. Prices are reasonable, attire is dress-up casual and the crowd is in their upper 20's to 50's. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. - LI Bistro member
Restaurant: One of my favorite places to eat! I love the BBQ at Smokin Al's and recommend it to anyone who is looking for the same. The atmosphere? Great. With the sounds of big band jazz and and the rustling of the "BBQ Pit" in the background, it's a very casual room that is accommodating for dates, families or dining alone. But, be sure to get there early. The dining room gets very crowded and the wait can be over an hour. I typically wait in the bar area for my table to be called but it's small and unless you get a seat, you are constantly avoiding runners, servers and people on their way to the bathroom. Overall this is a can't miss. If you are in the Bay Shore area, make sure you stop by. I recommend my personal favorite - "The Works"! - LI Bistro member Here you will find some positive restaurant reviews from our LI Bistro member community.
